Santokh Singh, an extraordinary Indian entrepreneur launched the flagship firm of the Group more
than five decades ago which went on to create a revolutionary trend in rubber parts
manufacturing. Sigma became the most preferred automotive rubber parts manufacture worldwide and
continues to be the market leader.
Continuing in the same entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality the successors of
Santokh Singh, Jagdip Singh and Taranjit Singh led the Group to newer heights and the present
stature. Starting with a job shop in a north Delhi’s industrial area, the flagship company now
spans into multiple facilities all of which have the ISO 9002, QS 9000 and TS 16949
certifications.
In the due course of time the Group diversified and made foray into the OEM world in late
'90s-early 2000s with two quick JVs by setting up new Indian entities under the Sigma Group in a
50:50 partnership mode with world class enterprises like European giant Vibracoustic for
anti-vibration parts and leading German-Japanese enterprise Freudenberg-NOK for oil seals.
Continuing with the expansion program in the early 2000’s the Group further added Sigma Moulds &
Stampings (SMS), a state of the art plant for manufacturing highly sophisticated, precision
tools, dies, molds and sheet metal parts to meet the growing demands of OEM companies and Sigma
Automotive Material (SAM) for engineering components using high precision technology. To cater
to the dynamic price sensitive US markets a trading arm, Sigma Global Inc. (SGI) was setup in US
in early 2000’s to directly supply to the end markets high quality products with competitive
pricing.
With a strategy that centers around excellence in quality and customer satisfaction, the Group
has earned wide acceptance for its reliability and commitment to quality, and it continues to
grow exponentially and strive ahead in the automotive OEM and aftermarket offerings.

Mr. Jagdip Singh heads as Group Chairman - Emeritus, Sigma Group of companies. Earlier he held the position of the Group Chairman until the baton was passed to the next generation of organizational leaders to carry forward the legacy of the Group.

Mr. Taranjit Singh matched strides with his brother Mr. Jagdip Singh to take the Group to newer heights. With his hard work, vision, initiative, and zeal for excellence and customer focus he along with his elder brother Mr. Jagdip singh laid strong foundation for the future growth and expansion of the Group. Mr. Taranjit Singh held the position of Managing Director of the Sigma Group till recently until the next generation took over the reins.

Mr. Kabir Singh eldest among the next generation of visionary organisational leaders inheriting the rich legacy of the Group’s illustrious and visionary predecessors has more than 25 years of proven success delivering value and revenue growth with experience spanning Director and President roles.

With a background in industrial engineering and business administration from the US Mr. Preetpal Singh’s journey has been driven by a vision to position the Group on the global stage by showcasing the strengths of the Indian engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Youngest among the next generation of The Groups’ Management leaders, Mr. Preetpal Singh coupled with deep understanding of the global markets and cutting-edge technology has been instrumental in exploring new horizons and carving a niche for the Group on the world stage.

With two decades of leadership experience in the automotive industry behind him Mr. Jagmit Singh has been the steering force in driving the Groups’ operational and strategic transformation across domestic and international markets.
A humble beginning from a job shop in a north Delhi’s industrial area, the Group now has multiple automotive companies under its fold catering to the aftermarket as well the OEM market in the global stage.
Sigma sets up modern manufacturing plant in Bhondsi, Haryana for international automotive aftermarket. Sigma takes first step in OEM world by setting up a 50:50 joint venture with Phoenix A.G. Germany for Anti-vibration parts for the European market.
Sigma diversifies by forming a joint venture with Freudenberg-NOK for production of oil seals. Sigma sets up trading branch in US, Sigma Global Inc (SGI) to directly supply high quality products to the end markets.
Under the expansion programme Sigma sets up Sigma Moulds and Stampings Pvt. Ltd. (SMS) at Manesar, Haryana to manufacture highly sophisticated, precision tools, dies, moulds and sheet metal parts for OEM customers.
Sigma establishes a Trading Co. in India under Sigma Automotive Materials (P) Ltd. (SAM) to supply Aluminium Die Castings and other metal components to Tier-2 OEM manufacturers across the globe.
Sigma sets up a modern manufacturing facility in Mohali, Punjab in the form of a joint venture with Vibracoustic Gmbh. of Germany for production of Anti-vibration parts to supply exclusively to automobile OEM’s
Sigma under the expansion programme Sigma establishes the second unit for Sigma Corporation India Ltd. at Manesar, a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facility to primarily cater to the big automotive players in US in the aftermarket segment.
