Mr. Jagdip Singh comes from a humble but reputed and distinguished family of entrepreneurs
from the State of Punjab. He started his career at a very young age and by dint of his hard
work, vision, initiative, drive and zeal, it has turned out to be an illustrious and
luminous career in the Automotive Industry.
Mr. Jagdip Singh heads as Group Chairman
- Emeritus, Sigma Group of companies. Earlier he held the position of the Group Chairman
until the baton was passed to the next generation of organizational leaders to carry forward
the legacy of the Group.
He transformed the entrepreneurial venture started by his
Late father Sri Santokh Singh into a world class automotive parts manufacturing Group which
has now become a globally preferred supplier of many automotive OEMs and aftermarket giants
worldwide. Under his leadership the Group in the past had Joint Ventures with Japanese and
German Multi-Billion Dollar companies producing highly critical Automotive Components
Due to his constant interaction with Diplomats of various countries and his
work towards
improving trade and cultural ties between India and other countries, he was appointed as the
Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Korea to the States of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh,
Jammu & Kashmir and the Union Territory of Chandigarh with seat at Chandigarh.
By the virtue of his long and active career spanning over five decades and being member of
several very important National and International Organizations has provided him with the
privilege of close personal and business associations with important people in the
political,
diplomatic and social circles of the National Capital and neighbouring states of Punjab &
Haryana and also with Country’s important Business Houses and Industrialists.
